Biography

Charles Donnelly is a Cardiff based Director of Photography. After graduating from Newport Film School, Charles was fortunate enough to begin working as a camera assistant with a local welsh company shooting low budget feature films. He was offered the chance to shoot his first feature in 2016 and has since completed work on six other feature films. Working on these projects allowed Charles to develop skills in stunt choreography, visual effects and collaborating with larger crews.

Used to working with limited resources, Charles enjoys the challenge of using whatever is available to create images that focus on depicting locations using expressive lighting and grounding characters within their environments.
